"Once upon a time, in a wood long forgotten, was a cabin of cedar logs nestled deep within the Enchanted Wood on the outskirts of Kierelia of Kaern."
My next book, The Prophet's Apprentice, is scheduled to be released January of 2018. It had been our goal to release it sooner, but in an effort to make it the very best that it can be, it has been pushed back. It is the first book in a new series called Chronicles of the Chosen that is actually something of a continuation of the Seeker's Trilogy. The books will be set in Kierelia and the Greater Archipelagos (the worlds introduced in the trilogy), but there may be other worlds introduced as well. Additionally, many of the books will include characters from the Seeker's Trilogy, so it's safe to say we're far from finished with Iviana and her comrades. In fact, for those who've read Seeker's Revolution, Era's father will actually be revealed in The Prophet's Apprentice...which is a question that has been bothering quite a few people...and I don't blame them! I suppose my knowing it will be revealed in the next book isn't really helpful unless I tell you.
If you'd like to be informed the moment The Prophet's Apprentice is available, you can sign up here or on almost any other page on this site.
But what is this book about you ask? Well, I'm rubbish at explaining a story line until I've written a synopsis...which I haven't done. But I will introduce you to Wynn, the wild, feisty young woman with a difficult past who has been chosen to become the prophet's apprentice. The prophet himself is a lovable but mysterious man who has lived centuries performing marvelous feats and working for the Great One in both Kierelia and the Greater Archipelagos. By the time Wynn comes to know him, he is living in a vine-covered log cabin in the middle of the Enchanted Wood where a great many strange and unearthly occurrences take place, thus the name of the wood. There isn't much more I'm certain I wish to share just now, but I will leave you with a few more minor though possibly intriguing glimpses: feathers, glowing orbs, a crimson blade, vines of ivy, even more feathers and an emerald cloak...oh, not to mention colorful, unearthly creatures and malevolent daemon sprites.
Seeker's Revolution, the final book in the Seeker's Trilogy, is set to be released June 30, 2016! Be sure to sign up for the new release email newsletter on the contact page if you would like be notified when it is available to order as well as to keep up with future book releases.
“The time draws near when it will be determined whether for the next thousand years the Greater Archipelagos will be cursed or favored.”
The final book in the Seeker’s Trilogy follows Iviana’s journey as she works to become what the prophecies promised: The Glory-bringer. In doing so, she will bring about a revolution that will alter the course of the Greater Archipelagos’ future.
Or so says Era, the mysterious Atlantian teen who discovers she is more than a hidden Seeker, but a Time-jumper and Dream-walker as well. On her first unintentional time-jump, the future of the Greater Archipelagos is revealed to be harrowing for the entire planet if Iviana does not fulfill her destiny.
However, Iviana has discovered a dark secret involving the council, including the current Realm Leader, her best friend, Flynn. Upon revealing her knowledge of their transgression, Flynn warns she must flee, sending her back to her home world. Unfortunately, Kaern is just as dangerous thanks to the unmerited witch-hunt set against her by Sir Loric in an attempt to wreak his revenge.
But when Iviana and Era discover they are able to visit one another through dreams, Era reveals what she knows of the future and Iviana must find a way to stop it before it’s too late. The fate of the Greater Archipelagos is literally hanging in the balance and it is only a matter of time before the curse is set into motion once and for all.
So excited to announce that my second book, Seeker's Quest: Book 2 of the Seeker's Trilogy, is now available on Amazon.com in paperback and eBook. The process of releasing it has been so enjoyable. From editing to cover designing, etc...it's been a journey.
The cover (created by an amazingly talented designer) is just breathtaking to me...I sort of can't stop looking at it. It took forever to decide what I wanted created, but in the end, the designer just sort of did her own take on it and, as with Seeker's Call, her vision blew mine out of the water (guess that's why I'm not the artist).
At any rate, it's out and I can breathe again...at least until the third and final book in the trilogy is ready for publication (possibly December of this year). So, if you'd like to purchase it, here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/Cassandra-Boyson/e/B00RCIX7M6/ref=dp_byline_cont_ebooks_1
Thanks to those who took the time to read the first one and especially to those who let me know they enjoyed it! Hearing someone not only read it but enjoyed it is super rewarding and gives me something to smile about. :D
